Spokane County Coalition of Unions
The Spokane County Coalition of Unions held meetings on March 15, 2005 and May 17 to review the contract negotiation process and discuss the Health Care Committee.
We began the meeting by discussing what we learned from the coalition bargaining and what we felt were successes and lessons learned. We all agreed that the coalition should continue.
The coalition tentatively scheduled meetings for: July 19, September 20 and November 15.
The Health Care Committee members were selected:
Gordon Smith, Roberta Burnett, Patti Bonner, Julie Driscoll, Lisa Dingler and two others from the Jail Nurse Unit and the ProsecutorÕs unit.
Alternates are: Amie Swenson and Michelle Perrine.
Gordon and Roberta scheduled an initial meeting with Spokane County management to discuss implementation of the committee, committee structure and size, frequency of meetings, goals and objectives. The medical committee will start in July or August. Stay tuned for updates.
