Meeting Summary

Meeting notes from the last meeting were distributed and approved.

IT Customer Sat Survey

The survey got only a 13% response rate. Scores were low and disappointing. Was concluded IT rate themselves harder than other business groups. The union reps will receive the unredacted survey.

Update on IT Reorg

Lisa Hillman presented the update for all departments on the IT reorg. Highlights:

• DNRP – most tasks done, meetings planned with staff to introduce new managers.
• DDES – New roles filled except IT Supervisor, which won’t happen now due to budget. Major layoffs will make for a new round of reorg due to budget not IT reorg.
• DES – Difficult to fit into Dept X model due to budget. Outstanding issue of tech lead for DES.
• PH – Working on seating, finishing final phase of reorg. Planning reviews of SLA’s and SOW’s.
• DAJD – Some IT staff need classification reviews. One review of reclass from IT to business. Budget and mainframe migration are main unknowns for plans.
• OIRM – Remaining status quo due to IT managers’ union organizing. Doing analysis of all positions, possibly involving PDQ’s.

JLMIT 2010

Plans for IT reorg and status were asked for. Tour of Sabey Center was asked for. Update on DOT reorg asked for. It was asked to have regular status reports from the IT-SDMs on the re-org status/actions within each Dept, including updates on anticipated labor-related issues. 

The meeting adjourned around 11:20 am.
