- Update on City of Seattle Contract Ratification

Contract Ratification

Local 17 and the City have finished the final review of the contract. The contract is now being reviewed by the Mayor's office. After the Mayor's review, it will be moved to the City Council to be voted as a new ordinance. This process has taken several weeks in the past. The City Bargaining Team has put the Mayor’s office, City Council and City Personnel on notice that the non-represented employees in the City received the COLA that the Coalition bargained the first check in 2008. We expect this Ordinance will not “sit on desks” but be actively moved so our members will see their COLA or wage adjustments as soon as possible. All monetary items including, but not limited to COLA, will be retroactive. Watch this website for details. Thank you.
