Scholarships Available for Union Families

Each school year, the IFPTE (International) awards three college scholarships of $2,500 each to children or grandchildren of IFPTE members.

IFPTE’s Scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated skills through academic achievement and service to their school and community and wish to continue their education beyond high school, whether in public and private colleges and universities, in community colleges, or in technical institutes.

The three awards are granted to one winner each from the public, private and federal sectors of IFPTE. Children of Local 17 members have won in the past.

The deadline for scholarship applications is March 15 of every school year; winners are selected on or about May 1 of each year. Applications for the 2009 school year will be available in December 2009.
